MY SEO JOURNEY

As an SEO professional who has lived in Lexington, Kentucky my whole life, I've had a front-row seat to the evolution of search engine optimization over the past two decades. My journey in this industry began in 1998, the same year I started my career, and Lexington has been the backdrop for this 25+ year adventure.

I was raised in Lexington and have always called this city home. When I first started doing SEO back in the late 90s, the landscape was vastly different. Search engines like AltaVista, Excite, and Lycos were the dominant players, and the concept of "search engine optimization" was still relatively new. As a young professional, I was eager to learn everything I could about this emerging field and how to help businesses in my hometown rank higher in the search results.

Over the years, I've witnessed the rise of Google as the dominant search engine, the increasing importance of mobile optimization, and the shift towards more user-centric and content-driven SEO strategies.
